WIFE, MOTHER, NEIGHBOR
My husband Ted and I moved to Hollis in 1999 with our two children. Like many of you, we came to Hollis for the excellent schools, the acres of open farmland, and the strong sense of community that defines Hollis. From the moment we arrived, we knew that Hollis would be a community where we could set down deep roots for our family, a place where our children would thrive, and we would make long-lasting friendships that we could count on.
COMMUNITY VOLUNTEER
Volunteering with the groups below has enriched my life and has been a powerful way to make a difference in Hollis.
In 2004, I launched “Liz Barbour's Creative Feast,” identifying a unique opportunity in culinary instruction. My client base grew as I traveled to libraries and women’s groups across New England, and more recently, nationwide through online platforms. Innovation and customer service have been critical skills that led to my success as a chef and small business owner.
In February 2023, I identified a need in the Hollis community. I discovered that residents missed having a local newspaper. Working with a group of Hollis residents, we launched the Positively Hollis project. In a few months, we created a website, and by March 2024 we mailed the first issue of The Positively Hollis Post to 3,600 homes and every business in town. Today, Positively Hollis stands as a testament to the power of collaboration and the importance of listening to and addressing residents' needs.
VISIT
I am incredibly grateful to everyone who supported our team throughout this campaign. Your trust, enthusiasm, and commitment to our common-sense vision made all the difference.
This win is something we achieved together. As a team, we accomplished the remarkable: flipping two Hollis State Representative seats from Blue to Red and sending two Common Sense candidates—Jack Flanagan and myself—to Concord.
Statewide, New Hampshire voters delivered a clear mandate for change. With a strong House majority, a two-thirds Senate supermajority, Kevin Award’s re-election to the Senate, and Governor Kelly Ayotte’s victory, New Hampshire is poised for common-sense governance.
I am honored to bring Hollis’s voice to Concord, carrying the strength of a remarkable community and campaign team with me.
Thank you for your dedication, belief, and trust. Together, we’ve made a difference, and I look forward to the positive changes ahead. Let’s keep building a brighter future for Hollis and New Hampshire!
Sincerely,
Liz Barbour
